About the Artist: E. Jay Hendrickson
is the past president of the American Bladesmith Society. Hendrickson has
been a Master Smith since 1989, and his work has been featured in most of
the leading knife journals, including Knife World, Blade Magazine,
and Knives. He has been a member of the ABS Board of
Directors since 1986.
Hendrickson knives exhibit master artistic
quality and follow in the footsteps of "traditional artisans" of the forged
blade. He prides himself on making knives the old way and does everything by
hand using minimal machinery.
Details: The Blade is hammer forged
5160 high carbon steel, convex ground and differentially hardened. This
blade will take and hold an excellent edge. The handle of Impala horn scales
is pinned and epoxied to a full tapered tang. Impala horn is a very durable
material and provides a positive grip. The nickel silver guard
is intricately fileworked. The textured leather sheath is handmade by
Hendrickson. Mint condition, never used, carried or sharpened.
